Tower of Thorns is an excellent sequel in the Blackthorn & Grim series. The two main characters are vivid and real. This book evoked strong emotions in several chapters, and I enjoyed the character development immensely. Seeing Grim’s dark past slowly revealed was exciting and painful, and his dealing with past grief and anger was therapeutic for me as a reader. My one dislike in the book was the multiple layers of lies that start from the beginning of the story between the various characters. However, the situation was believable – just painful. Highly recommended for lovers of fantasy, Ireland, fae, and character-driven books.
