The climax of the series was fine. The romance was on point, although Dahlia’s decisions still irk me. I find myself thinking that if I were in her position I would take a completely different (and way smarter) approach to the conflict that surrounds her. The Wood Mist irritates me. The Dark Walkers irritate me. When authors take an approach of directly preventing the characters and readers from knowing clearly vital information, it irritates me.
However, the characters and plot were enough to keep me engaged with the series. I’m happy I read it, but not ecstatic.
