A wonderfully written fantasy set in the west of Ireland which tells of the coming of the Great Queen who is bent on bringing destruction to the world. Only Pidge and Brigit can stop her and their task seems impossible as they're constantly trailed by the queen's hounds. But they're aided in their quest by a host of willing helpers - a glorious array of unforgettable characters. * This book has been in print continuously for well over 15 years and has proved itself as one of the best-sellers on our list * A fresh new look for the next generation of readers * Has sold all over the world, and has been translated into many different languages, making it an internationally acclaimed book
I liked this book at first, and then I just lost interest. Didn’t finish. Another book caught my eye, and I just didn’t care to finish this one. It was fine, but childish (I know it is a children’s / YA book, but that does not mean it needs to be childish). I was not delighted by wonder. Just kinda bored.
