St Mary’s is back and is facing a battle to survive in this, the fourth instalment of the Chronicles. Max and Leon are re-united and looking forward to a peaceful lifetime together. But, sadly, they don’t even make it to lunchtime.
Some heart-wrenching events occur in this book, and St. Mary’s faces off against the Time Police from the future. The exciting romp races from jump to jump across time, and Max is stranded for a time in Pompeii (at the worst possible time in Pompeii). The action is great, and the relationship between Max and Leon Farrell takes a few unexpected turns. A fun read.
